Trump and Congress Step Up, Pass Law Instantly Killing 1 of Governments Dumbest Decisions Ever

There’s no doubt that Christians have a friend in the White House in the form of Donald J. Trump. People can say whatever they want about Trump’s personal life before he was president but there’s no doubt that Trump is someone who believes in a higher power and believes in religious freedom in this country.

It’s refreshing to have someone in the White House who stands up for religious freedom especially after Obama’s lawlessness and targeting of Christians like we saw with the Little Sisters of the Poor.

If you aren’t convinced that Trump cares about faith, check out the move he just made to protect churches. Trump and Congress rectified one of the dumbest decisions ever.

 From BizPac Review:

On Friday, President Trump signed a law that that protects houses of worship from being denied disaster relief aid from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Washington Examiner reports.

The legislation, incorporated into the budget bill, was a response to Hurricane Harvey and Irma-related incidents from last year, in which churches and synagogues were denied the federal funding FEMA offers to other nonprofits.

Here’s more.

This last year, FEMA took an enormous amount of heat for discriminating against houses of worship that wanted equal access to disaster relief funding FEMA provides to other nonprofit organizations. This discriminatory policy came to light after several places of worship tried to apply for relief following Hurricanes Harvey and Irma — and FEMA denied it.

On Friday, Congress passed a law that protects churches, synagogues, and other houses of worship to which FEMA has denied aid. President Trump signed the bipartisan bill into law shortly after it was passed. Congress’ action ensures that FEMA’s new policy will endure so that houses of worship are treated equally alongside secular nonprofit organizations applying for disaster aid.

For several decades, and unbeknownst to many, FEMA excluded houses of worship from its disaster aid programs. After Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, three Texas churches and two Florida synagogues, represented by Becket, a nonprofit organization that represents religious liberty cases, sued the government in separate lawsuits asking for equal access to disaster relief aid. One of those cases, Harvest Family Church v. FEMA, went to the Supreme Court. The court asked FEMA to justify its exclusion policy and in response, FEMA ended its discrimination against churches, synagogues, mosques, and other houses of worship.

Gotta love it.

Trump inherited a mess. No doubt about it. He’s doing a solid job trying to get this country back on the right track. Government agencies are out of control and it looks like FEMA is no exception. Conservatives, and Americans frankly, should be thrilled about this move by Trump and his allies in Congress.

Heritage Foundation came out the other day and said Trump’s first year was more conservative than Reagan’s.

That’s a big deal.

Liberals can yell and scream all they want but things are definitely trending in the right direction for the country.
